The Business Management class at the high school ran a mock business simulation. The business manufactured 130 braided dog toys out of donated t-shirts. The toys are being donated to NovaStar Dog Rescue.

Congratulations to the 18 Russellville High School students who have earned the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating proficiency in English and Spanish. Adopted first by California in 2011, the Seal of Biliteracy is now recognized in all 50 states. The official website says, “The Seal of Biliteracy encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills our students attain, and can be evidence of skills attractive to future employers and college admissions offices.”

Student Mural completed! Art Club students have completed a 100 ft mural behind the RHS Stem Center! The mural showcases scenes from the six regions of Arkansas. It was designed and painted over three years, including some Saturdays and summer sessions, with leadership from Art Club Presidents Bryce Lemmons 2022, Alondra Holland 2023, and Kiara Arevalo 2024.

Hello, Class of 2024 Families,
To be prepared for graduation, students are expected to attend graduation practice. To accommodate students taking Advanced Placement Exams and those attending the State Championship Soccer Game, we are rescheduling Graduation Practice as follows:
Ceremony 1 practice will still be held on Friday, May 17 at 9:00 am.
Ceremony 2 practice will be held on Thursday, May 16 at 1:00 pm.
All seniors must have turned in their laptops and chargers and paid all fines to receive their diplomas. Seniors who still have their laptops will turn them in after graduation practice. As always, please call the RHS office if you have any questions at 479-968-3151.

BRING BETA CLUB YOUR SHOES! We're collecting gently worn, used, new shoes to raise money for next year's state BETA competition in Hot Springs. All you have to do is clean out your closet of shoes you no longer wear that are still in good condition and bring them by RHS. You can drop them off from 3-6 pm on May 25th.

Congratulations to the Cyclone Baseball team for being 5A West Co-Champions finishing 11-3 in conference play. This is the first conference title for the Cyclones since 2012. Good luck in the State Tournament starting Thursday in Harrison.

Russellville High School will distribute graduation tickets this Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:00. Pickups will be in the RHS cafeteria.
2024 Baccalaureate is Monday, May 13th at 6:00 pm at Connect Church at 1103 E. L Street, Russellville, AR. All Seniors are invited to participate and their families/guests are welcome to attend. RHS faculty/staff are also welcome to attend. Dress is what you would normally wear to church or business casual. Russellville HS FCA sponsors this.

"Cyclone Broadcasting took home GOLD in the Live-Multi Cam category of the A-State Media Fest Friday! Arkansas State University puts the event together and sees high school broadcast programs across the state compete for bragging rights and excellence.
The honor was awarded to Cyclone Broadcasting for its 2023 Russellville Christmas Parade broadcast, hosted by RHS students Ali Lara and Mary Stratton. The event garnered nearly 17,000 views across the river valley.
