Russellville School District Hires New High School Principal 

RUSSELLVILLE Ark. -  The Russellville School District Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Brad Ray as the new Russellville High School Principal. Mr. Ray is coming to RSD from Charleston Public Schools where he held the position of Middle School Principal. 

Previous to that position, Mr. Ray was the Northside High School Assistant Principal for Fort Smith Public Schools for eight years. During his time there, NHS was Arkansas’ 1st Model PLC High School. In 2018, Mr. Ray was recognized as the 2017-2018 Arkansas Assistant Principal of the Year. 

Mr. Ray brings valuable experience in instructional leadership and Professional Learning Communities. Previously, He has served as the Board President of the Arkansas Association of Secondary Schools Principals and is a member of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators. Additionally, Mr. Ray is certified in crisis prevention and response. 

Mr. Ray graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University.  He earned his Master’s degree  from Arkansas Tech University and obtained an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. 

Mr. Ray said, “I am excited and humbled for the opportunity to lead Russellville High School”. 

Mr. Ray and his family enjoy traveling and sports events. They look forward to making Russellville their new home.
